Paracetamol (lat. Paracetamolum) is a drug, analgesic and antipyretic from the anilide group, has an antipyretic and analgesic effect.
Paracetamol is recommended by WHO to relieve pain and reduce fever in the following conditions:
- Colds;
- Influenza and childhood infectious diseases such as chickenpox, rubella, whooping cough, measles, scarlet fever and mumps;
- Pain with otitis media;
- Sore throat;
- Pain during teething.
It is also recommended for reducing elevated body temperature in children after vaccination.
